I cannot believe this will be my 20th @handmadecanberra market, what a journey it has been so far. My proudest achievement so far is becoming a a offical ‘Ambassador’ for the market, secretly I always thought I was one anyway 😆

Am I a seasoned professional? I like to think so, but I still forget to pack things for each market.

I’ve only just realised 2 weeks ago that I forget to bring these labels as pictured to pop on the shower steamers samples. I was wondering why I was loosing my voice, naming all of the different fragrances to everyone. But it did work, we SOLD out for the very first time and even sold the samples 😍

I also forgot the jars of coffee beans, and a customer called me out on it, ha ha. I won’t be forgetting this time. Did you know of you smell the coffee beans between the different fragrances, it clears your nose? 🫘

I’m looking forward to finishing off the year with a CRACKER of a weekend at the market. Surrounded by the BEST market team and stall holders you will find. And of course ticking Australian handmade gifts off my Christmas shopping list.

Important Website Notice

I have ran out of a lot of stock this year, earlier than I had anticipated. I’ve also had a substantial delay for a label order to be fulfilled, I have stock ready to be packaged to upload to the website. At this stage the labels will not be arriving till after December 12.

I will be ‘burning brightly’ @handmadecanberra Canberra this weekend from Friday through to Sunday. I have had to taken a large amount of stock off the website to take with me and all orders placed from now till Monday 11 Dec will start to be processed on Tuesday 12 Dec. I may have a bit of time tomorrow to pack small orders that come in overnight, you will receive at dispatch notice if your order has been sent.

I will do a restock starting from next Tuesday and will also be adding some one off gift boxes that will include candles in possible new jars that I have been trialing. Make sure to keep your eye on our ‘Gift Box’ page.

Did someone say Marshmallow???

I think I’ve gone crazy 😜

Our very popular jars of shower steamers are often mistaken for jars of ‘Marshmallows’ at markets by our customers. So what started out as some friendly banter with our customers and other stall holders has now become one of my crazy ideas.

I have made ‘Marshmallow’ scented Shower Steamers. I created a small batch and trialled them, also sent some off to my daughter. To our absolute surprise, they are the BEST smelling shower steamers I’ve made to date (go figure 😂).

We are bringing them to this weekend’s @handmadecanberra Christmas market. There will a limited amount of jars ONLY for you to grab! We have made it very clear that they are shower steamers and not delicious marshmallows to eat 😆 (there is a label under the lid).

These jars would make the most perfect gift for a teenage girl or if you just enjoy a bit of fun in your life. They have certainly bought me some joy in creating them.

By the way, we need a marshmallow emoji!
